Home Improvement Race: Lowes Vs. Home Depot

Two of the largest competing home improvement companies are likely to finish #1 and #2 at the NASCAR race track.  The companies spend millions of dollars on the cars and drivers to hopefully be able to brag about being #1 at the track and with customers. In 2002 when Tony Stewart won the NASCAR title he scaled the fence at the track.  Home Depot, Stewart's sponsor, created an advertisment that said, "Hey Tony, we've got ladders", also offering discounts on ladders in the store.  Demographics say NASCAR is an effective advertising area for the Home Improvement stores.
