PVC Pipe Shortage and Prices Rise
"The white PVC pipes laying in rows on a shelf don't look that sexy. They don't get the headlines of other building materials like concrete and lumber. And they usually aren't mentioned in the same breath as soaring oil prices. PVC Pipe Prices Soar Chemical Week magazine reports: PVC prices have surged 43 percent from 37 cents a pound in September 2004 to 53 cents a pound September 2005.
